LOS ANGELES – Councilwoman Yaroslavsky issued the following statement in response to the death of Paul Kessler.
"We cannot turn away from this. For the fourth time this year, Los Angeles has suffered yet another major antisemitic crime. We cannot ignore the disgusting antisemitism, hate speech, and violence that has proliferated here at home. While we wait for more details, know this: violence against our community cannot be and will never be tolerated."

L.A. City Council backs effort to block Bulgari development in Benedict Canyon
The Los Angeles City Council on Wednesday moved to try to block a developer’s planned luxury hotel in Benedict Canyon amid opposition from some neighbors and the council member who represents the hillside area.
On an 8-6 vote, the council backed Councilmember Katy Yaroslavsky’s motion asking the city’s planning director to intervene and consider stopping the proposed Bulgari Resort Los Angeles.

LOS ANGELES - Today, Los Angeles City Councilwoman Katy Yaroslavsky unveiled plans for a new interim housing project on L.A.’s Westside. Located on an underutilized city-owned parking lot at the intersection of Pico Blvd. and Midvale Ave, the project will add desperately needed interim beds to the Fifth Council District’s homeless housing supply. When Councilmember Yaroslavsky took office, there were fewer than 100 interim housing units available for the district’s 1,300 unhoused individuals.
